HK finds melamine in baby cereal, crackers
Associated Press
2008-09-26 09:01 PM
The Hong Kong government says it has found traces of the industrial chemical melamine in Chinese-made baby cereal and crackers.

It said in a statement Friday that it has found melamine in Heinz DHA+AA vegetable formula baby cereal and in steamed potato wasabi crackers produced by Silang House.

It says both products were made in mainland China.

Calls to Heinz's Hong Kong office were not answered Friday evening.

The government urged the manufacturers to stop selling the products in Hong Kong.
