Taiwan says it has confirmed a second case of swine flu.

The Department of Health made the announcement in a cell phone text message Thursday but did not provide details. The island's first case was reported Wednesday.

The World Health Organization says there have been more than 10,000 swine flu cases around the world and 80 deaths.

It says most of the cases have been reported in Mexico, the United States and Canada.

At least 41 countries have reported cases since the outbreak began last month.
