Meanwhile Ireland has confirmed its second case of the virus.Britain's Health Protection Agency said Monday that it had confirmed four new cases of the virus. Three were linked to previous cases while a fourth person had recently returned from abroad.
Ireland's Department of Health says its newly confirmed swine flu patient recently traveled to New York. It says she is "clinically well."
The virus has generally been mild in Britain, and the Department of Health said the country's strategy of containing its spread with antivirals appears to have been effective.
