Croatia has confirmed its first swine flu case in a woman who returned home from Australia this week.

Health Minister Darko Milinovic says the 60-year-old woman, who was not identified, sought medical help after developing flu-like symptoms a day after flying back to Split in southern Croatia on Wednesday.

The World Health Organization said Friday the number of officially confirmed swine cases worldwide has reached 89,921 and that 382 people have died of it up to date.
